Downtime information
To ensure the continued performance, security, and reliability of CHPC systems, we conduct periodic planned maintenance outages for essential hardware and software upgrades.
The next scheduled downtime is on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The downtime will begin at 8:00 a.m. MDT and continue into the afternoon. It will affect high-performance computing clusters (granite, notchpeak, kingspeak, lonepeak, redwood; Open OnDemand) and standalone servers (including narwhal, beehive, and CryoSPARC and ColabFold servers) in the General and Protected Environments. Virtual machines will not be affected. This downtime is necessary to apply patches and updates to systems following recent operating system vulnerabilities.
While we strive to minimize disruptions, unplanned outages may still occur due to factors beyond our control, including system failures or critical updates. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we maintain and improve CHPC resources.
