FastX2 server upgrade Monday, June 27 at 1pm

We are planning an upgrade to the latest FastX2 server version on Monday June 27 at 1pm. The upgrade will be done on all CHPC FastX2 servers (frisco, astro, meteo and atmos nodes as well as all general and owner interactive nodes; this uopgrade will also including protected environment resources). We expect the upgrade to take a couple of hours. This is being done primarily to address user issues with resizing windows when on a Mac, as well as other bug fixes and new features that are in the latest version. We strongly suggest that you close all FastX2 sessions, or at a minimum save any ongoing work, before this time as the upgrade may result in a loss of existing FastX2 sessions.
Once the FastX2 server upgrade is complete, when you start a new FastX2 session it will let you know that there is a update to the client – users should get the updated client before starting new sessions.
