New Scratch File System

Date Posted: May 15th, 2019

CHPC is happy to announce that we have added a third scratch file system, /scratch/general/nfs1 in our general (non-protected environment) computing environment.  This new scratch file system is a serial, network-mounted file system with a capacity of 595 TB, and is accessible from all of the interactive (including the frisco nodes) and compute nodes of all clusters.

The policies on this new scratch file system will be the same as on the previously existing /scratch/general/lustre and /scratch/serial/kingspeak, both of which will stay in operation -- files that have not been accessed in 60 days will be automatically deleted.
